Administrative Services

The Administrative Services Division is comprised of the Detectives, Records and Parking Enforcement.


The detective division handles all types of investigations. In addition they handle crime scene processing, and evidence handling. One detective is assigned to the Mid-Iowa drug task force to focus solely on narcotics violations.


The Records division is responsible for processing and keeping all documents. The police department typically handles over 5600 incident reports per year. Beginning in 2008 all incident reports became computer generated. All traffic citations and traffic accidents are now completed electronically. Nearly every police car is equipped with a computer and printer allowing patrol officers access to our in house records management, the Internet and Email.
