Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballots for the August 1, 2017 Special Marshalltown City Election for the change in the Local Option Sales and Services Tax will be available starting Monday, June 26th Voters that wish to vote by absentee ballot and have their ballot mailed to them must request a ballot in writing. Forms are available at the Auditor’s Office and on the county website at If a voter wishes to mail their application to the Auditor’s office they should mail it to: Marshall County Auditor, 1 E. Main St., Marshalltown, IA 50158.

Absentee ballots may also be cast in person at the Auditor’s Office; during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. On July 28th and July 31st we will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All requests for a ballot to be mailed must be received in the Auditor’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28th.
