Stabbing Investigation

On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Marshalltown Police Officers were dispatched to 304 N 3rd Ave for a possible stabbing. 

When officers arrived on scene they found one adult male victim with non-life threatening injuries.  The victim was transported to the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center for treatment. 

After the initial investigation, Tut Moang, age 42 of Marshalltown, was arrested for Going armed with intent, a Class D Felony.  Moang was transported to the Marshall County Jail to await his initial appearance.  

Michael Anthony Jones, age 26 of Marshalltown, was also arrested during the investigation for Interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor.  Jones attempted to block officer’s access to the victim in this case.  Jones was transported to the Marshall County Jail to await his initial appearance.    

The investigation of this incident is ongoing and no other details are available at this time. 

An arrest without disposition is not an indication of guilt.
